April 8, 2001 Dear Ms. Janice Harrison:
It's been a week since the blissful event of our
daughter's wedding on March 31, 2001. My wife (Frances) and I have been
re-living the treasured memories of the wedding. We have been talking to our
friends and many family members. |
There were several best-liked events of the wedding,
i.e., the DJ's music score, the vocal wedding Song; and/or tasteful Luncheon.
However, the one over whelming tasteful piece of conversation was the Wedding
Cakes. Our bridal and grooms Cakes.
I would like to take these few moments and put into
words the high praises and appreciation Frances and I have for your
participation into making our daughter's one day magical.
When first recommended to us, we were hesitant due to
all the wedding horror stories we had hear about Independent Bakeries and using
the Web in ordering. However, as "word of mouth" about your excellent tasting
and elegant mastery in Cake making; our worries were quickly put to rest when
we reviewed your large portfolio of cakes.
We appreciated your flexibility in working with us long
distance; since our wedding event was held in Maryland, the bride and groom
were coming in from New Jersey and we are located here in Texas. Your arranging
for weekend and extended hours to allow our daughter and new son-in-law a taste
test was literally delicious.
Ms
Harrison, your recommendation and selection of the Groom's (chocolate) cake
made the Bridal Cake table complete. The Bridal wedding cake was the center of
attention and guest conversations. You left no decoration details untouched,
the miniature rose flowers were cute and tasty. We took a gamble and noted in
our wedding programs that there would be no dessert other than cake served.
Good decision, the guest could not stop talking about how "HOMEMADE" your cakes
tastes and "how not" like the traditional non edible COMMERICAL cakes you
receive at most receptions.
Frances
and I salute you on a Job Well Done! We will be one of those "word of mouth"
references to our family and friends. Please be advised, our Daughter, Monica
and Duane, our son-in-law, BOTH CONCUR with our assessment Sincerely Tyrone & Frances Crawley |
06/30/2001 Janice, The cake turned out
beautifully. My guests raved about how good it was and we were able to bring
home a few pieces for later. Ericka (Gilford) & Carlos Lee

12/08/01 Subject: RE: Birthday Good
Morning J. Harrison First let me THANK YOU. The cake tasted so good and
looked so pretty that my son just didn't want to cut it. However, he cut the
cake and it was gone in less then 10 minutes. I ate my first piece and had to
run and hide my next two pieces. That a sin, I know - I just lost 15lbs during
the month of Nov. however I have become addicted to your cake. I have to say I
have never tasted a brought cake that tasted so good. And I will be ordering a
Carrot Cake, Spice, and Rum cake and another Butternut very soon.
Thank
you so very much. Have a Great Day!
PS. One of my employees was at my
son's party Saturday and I think (pretty sure) she will be ordering her Wedding
Cake from you. We have been looking at the Wedding Cakes on the web this
morning. I will also be using you for our parties in the future. Thank You,
Ms. Lenora Reeves |
December 15, 2001 Hi Janice, I just
wanted to take this opportunity after everything has settled to thank you for a
beautiful wedding cake. We received so many compliments on that beautiful
beautiful cake. I want to tell you that you have a special gift that God has
granted you with and I hope he continues to bless you in this new year. I know
if I ever have another event you will hear from me. I have fowarded your number
to several people that said the cake was wonderful. It is amazing because most
of the time you see cakes that look beautiful but don't taste good, YOU HAVE
BOTH!!!!. Thank you for everything and may God bless you in this new year. I
will keep in touch for more cakes. Thanks Always, Michelle and
John |

11/23/01 Oh Janice, It was so perfect!
The cake transported just fine in the trunk of my car. Beautiful! No one wanted
to cut it, but they were glad they did--the flavor was outstanding. I will
definitely send others your way if they need a referral. |
My "peoples" at home in South Hill, VA though, may be
out of luck 'cause I ain't promising to bring another cake in the trunk of my
car. I have your board--I'll find out if someone is in your office over the
next two weekends and will drop it off. My parents were in shock that
technology will even allow you to put a photo on a cake of all things! My mom
was even more shocked that we had stolen her photographs and she didn't know.
We took lots of photos of it to send to my brother in Korea. Thank you so much
for all your hard work. You'll hear from me again for sure. Love.

January 19, 2002 Hello, I know it has
been a while. Things have finally settled down. The cake was delicious and we
were all really pleased. It got eaten, too! Everyone except for 5 showed up.
The snow stopped just in time for all to attend and began again right after it
was over. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say "Thank you".
